Makeup stays on longer when you start with a primer. A primer is an ideal base for long-lasting makeup. The primer forms a barrier between your skin and the makeup and acts as a protective layer. You apply primer, such as the Pre Base Primer or the Illuminating Primer, on top of your day cream and underneath your foundation. These primers both improve the long-lasting result of your base, have a nurturing effect and prepare for foundation. The difference between these primers is that the Illuminating Primer provides a healthy glow and contains a SPF 30 conditioning factor. The Pre Base Primer is a moisturising primer that ensures an even skin tone and protects with a UV-B filter. There are different kinds of primers. Primers for your face, your eyes and for example your lips. They have a nurturing effect and provide a long-lasting result.
The next step is using setting powder. Powder fixates the makeup and makes it stay on longer. There are different kinds of powders and every powder has a different effect on your makeup. If you want more coverage, use a compact powder, such as the Compact Powder. If you want a natural finish, use a loose powder, such as the Translucent Extra Fine Powder. The powder locks the cream products in place.
To make your makeup last all day, use a fixing makeup spray, such as the Make-up Fixer, as a last step in your makeup routine. This setting spray keeps the makeup and the skin from drying out, the spray lays a thin layer over your makeup so that everything stays on all day long.
Do you suffer from watery eyes? Then it is best to use a waterproof mascara, which makes sure that your eye makeup stays on better throughout the day. Waterproof mascara, such as the Mascara Waterproof 3D, doesn’t budge, even when it rains or when you work out.
To prevent lipstick from fading, you can use a lip primer, a powder and a lip liner. First, apply a Lip Primer to your lips, for example the Lip Primer or the Lip Primer Stick. Then powder your lips. This will make your lips a bit smoother, so the lipstick will stay on longer. You can use the Translucent Extra Fine Powder for this purpose since it doesn’t add any coverage. Then outline your lips with a lipliner. For this, you can use the Invisible Lip Contour Lip Pencil. Lastly, apply lipstick. By creating these layers, the lipstick will last even longer.
The same concept also applies to eyeshadow. If you use an eyeshadow base, such as Eye Primer, the eyeshadow will stay in place longer. In addition, the colour of the eyeshadow becomes more intense by using an eyeshadow base.
And last but not least, touch your face as little as possible. This will really make sure your makeup fades less and stays on longer.
